Yeah moniltech you saved me on the copper wings. A definite galvonic corrosion problem. There are some pretty amazing paints on the market that will mimic polished copper - not a mirror finish, but then copper doesn't have a mirror finish. The only downside would be if you were planning on them "greening" out over time to that wonderful aged copper look. On the other hand, that could be a real bonus in that you would never have to polish them.

I was looking to do something a bit different. I have some copper and thought it would be cool to have it patina. But it's not worth risking the chance of creating electrolysis for the look. I may do them in stainless steel though.

My pal Stan Ducker built this motor home from a 1927 International truck and used copper for the exterior,It always draws a crowd. It was featured on Dennis Gauges My Classic Car a few years ago. youtu.be/vsqX0GMMzukThe truck is featured around the 16 minute mark. Danny
