OOO-ooh. I like the grey. I would first have suggested matching something close to the floor tiles...you know, the not-blue ones... However with all the white already going on, the grey will help to tone it down just a bit without being too dark or too sharp a contrast. Looks like a nice choice.

Thanks, I've found this color, and I like the pattern, it reminds me of the cracked ice laminate, it is just a tad darker than the floor, (I think) according to the wife it must be darker than the floor because all counters are darker than the floor?

If she says so, I suggest you go with that....
That does resemble the cracked ice that was so classic in all colors of Formica. I believe the grey is going to look really classy in your overall design for that interior.

If you can photoshop it first, try another....It didn't win me over, but I've been told before that my taste is not the best.

I can echo Mattys comments that my taste is not the best, but you've got a lot of cool colors in there -- the blue and white. Could you do something that would really pop and perhaps complement the birch wood? Do you have any yellow or gold in anything else? If that's not an option, I'd try something in a lighter silvery color and see how that works. Ah, the beauty of photoshop!

I like it. But you could do another color that's not a neutral or even something with two colors in it and still not break the 3 color decorating rule and give it a little pop. Even some white in your table top would probably look good, like a two tone gray/white. I really do like it because it's tranquil in contrast to the bright blue that's a big pop and focal point with the white. But I personally like blues and I like tranquil, peaceful colors so it's all a matter of your personal taste. Also think about what else you might want to put in there accessory wise that would give it more color like pillows, dishes, etc. Things you can swap out. Table tops are permanent. (I try really hard to break all of the rules When I'm finished with mine, no one has to like it but me. Make yourself happy!

I like the cool, calm feeling it gives me.

I love the Wilsonart laminates but from what I've read, you have to go through a cabinet maker to order it.

I really like the grey but agree it would be nice to see more options before your final decision. Perhaps something a bit more silvery, it's a bit hard to tell from the photos. Or a boomerang? Have you checked this site? A little pricey. heffrons.com/retro/swatches/laminates.html

I like the grey if you need more. Get the pop from a third color elsewhere (curtains?)

I'm finding that gray a little harsh. How about this, to blend the gray and blue together a bit. Nevamar Vanish Vava. I found it from the Nevamar link in Soup's post.
