Hello,
My husband and I got a 1962 Boles Aero for the cost of transport. Most of the interior is there...missing the front dinette and the bed...and there is a little water damage along one of the windows. Other than a few minor issues she seems to have been well kept.
My problem is I cannot find anything on the 1962 Boles Aero. I sent the model and serial number to the RV Museum and all they could find was the year and that there were two models...one with 2 twin beds and one with one double bed, ours is the double bed model, 28 feet with two doors. We would like to restore her back to original as possible. She still has the original stove and fridge and the original bath fixtures.
If anyone has any photos or information on the 62 Boles Aero, it would be greatly appreciated!!
Laurie

I can't help you specifically but I have some general advice to share. My trailer is a very hard to find model as well. I also want to return it to close to original charm. So one thing I did is I spent many hours on the internet searching for anything with the same trailer brand name. If I found anything I copied the photos onto my hard drive. From the two other trailers out there that are like mine that I eventually found, I was able to talk one guy into photographing close up all of his decals and metal logos and sending me photos. Then I found a place online that can recreate chrome looking logos to replace lost ones. There are also people who make custom magazine racks, and other items with "original" logo type cutouts in them. Besides that, look at a lot of trailers that are similar from the year or two around when yours came out. I quickly realized that trailers had trends and what one manufacture did, many others also did. By doing this and using some of the links on this site to find vintage parts you should be able to be successful.

I have a 1967 tandem axle 24' Boles Aero with the twin bed floor plan. I have two friends with single axle "smaller" Boles Aero trailers, I would guess around 19' in length. I can think of at least two other Boles Aero trailer's just in my neighborhood. They are a well built trailer, but hardly what I would consider as rare. During the 1950's and early 1960's all of these trailers were very much alike inside. They basically made only two models (a curved corner cap, and a square corner design) and then mixed up the floor plans and lengths. Like any RV's of the era, the later they were, the more plastic and cheap paneling was used. They do tow nicely.

There seem to be more west coast than east coast. Our 1962 was left on some property my brother in law bought out west (he lives in Utah and we live in Georgia. He asked the previous land owner if he wanted to keep the trailer but the land owner was going to take it to the dump. My brother in law got the title to the trailer after I saw the pictures and ask him not to scrap it. It was well cared for although it had been sitting for a long time. It was covered and the windows where protected from damage. The inside is a step back in time. The owner had even left four brand new tires for the trailer inside of it!!!
Do you have pictures of yours, I'd love to see it.

Here's a guy who might be able to help. Shown below is a 63 but trailers didn't change all that much from 62 to 63... If you go to his website and contact him he may have the complete set of brochures including floor plans for your trailer. He sells the CDs for $10...
His name is Juergen (I always spell it wrong)... Wonderful man.

My parents just gave us a 62 boles aero and it agree it is hard to find things. I think most of it is original, the gold couch cushion is in storage because it is not as comfy as the one pictured, and the mattresses were replaced. The lighting, stove, fridge, cupboards, i believe are all orginal. From what i have looked at so far is that they are baby blue or baby pink counter tops and toilets. I think i have a 70's toilet, so if you find a pic of the one that was orginally in it i would like to see what it looks like. I posted some pictures on the boles aero yahoo group if you need help ideas. groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/boles_aero/info
