FYI I got my hands on a tire recall notice and thought I would pass along to everyone here. DON'T WORRY, it's not a trailer tire but may affect some members tow vehicles or motor homes. The following is the readers digest version of the wording on the recall. 1st, determine if it is the brand etc. of your tire. Tire description is; Michelin LTX M/S LT225/75R16 115/112R LRE 2nd, DOT tire sidewall markings serve as the tire's fingerprint and signify compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation Minimum Performance Standards. The DOT markings can be found on the sidewall just above the wheel flange. It will appear as a separate panel area with the following; DOT B3JH AKEX and ends with a date code (2 digit week and 2 digit year) between 0210 and 2512 inclusive. If you have any questions concerning the tire's DOT information please contact Michelin Consumer Care at 1-800-231-5893. I would think you could always go by your local Michelin dealer to have them checked out too, but call them 1st. Good Luck and be safe. soup

They have been pre-mature dry rotting, cracking and tread separation. Scary. They aren't cheap tires either. I think they run somewhere in the approx. ball park of $225 ea. But don't quote me on that. Still better than having to buy all new if you didn't know.
