I have my McGinness at a friends house so I can work on it inside this winter. I have been gathering some great information from this site and am getting my parts gathered up and a plan in place. I was talking to him this weekend and he told me that the clutch went out of his tractor. This would not effect me EXCEPT when he was pulling his tractor and snowblower into the drive shed the tractor rolled into the side of my McGinness and knocked it off the blocks, and a clamp I had on the bottom sill plate went thru the side. I am hoping to go up this week and I will get a picture. The funny part is that the damage is on the only part that I have fixed. Oh Well, at least no one was hurt and the trailer can always be fixed.

:oOh no! That's awful. So sorry for the unfortunate accident. Hope it's not as bad as it sounds. At least no one was hurt.

Sometimes if if wasn't for bad luck we would have no luck at all. That is the good thing about being able to fix these things yourself no matter what you can always fix it, if you have the desire and the coin.

Oh that is bad luck there wiartonwillie... I had a big old 53 Spartan Manor all jacked up high on one side to change wheels and brake shoes and bearings. The works. I always triple back up my jacks and supports. Worked out great this time because we had an earthquake and everything held. I lost a friend last year due to his car falling off the jack and crushing him. This stuff can be serious so be careful out there folks. Back up the back ups.
Hope the damage is not too hard to repair. Good luck.

I looked at the damage today, If he hadn't told me I may not have even noticed. It only punched a small hole in the side of the trailer, the skin was off so it only effected the bottom 2" of the new panelling.
