Howdy all. I'm restoring a Shasta Compact and the wheel wells are rotted out and beyond repair. Does anyone have any suggestions about finding or building replacements?

We took what was left of ours to a metal fabricator who made new ones. Turned out great. We had neither the tools nor the expertise (nor the desire to acquire either) to do them ourselves.

Hello and welcome,
In most cases if the metal wheel wells are broken, or bent up, an easy, but possibly pricey option(depends on your location) is to have them remade by a sheet metal shop or an HVAC shop. That's what Hamlet did and so have I. The techniques to build ducting and such for HVAC systems is the same as what they did to make the wheel wells.
That's in most cases. Some manufacturers built them out of wood and sealed them up with a tarlike substance underneath.
Try doing a search on wheelwells or wheel wells (compound word?) here on the forum to see what others have done.
