My Mom bought this '56 Shasta in the mid-90's. I helped her at the time with some repairs and costs getting it safe on the road. For the last 15 years or so, a friend has used it for music festivals and camping and such. Now it's back home, taking residence at my house where it will be our "guest cottage". I hope to also get it on the road at bit this summer and autumn.
Any pointers or tips are welcome. My plan is to keep it mostly original, but I will probably replace the internal wiring. There is some water damage on the wood paneling that I need to repair, but so far the frame is solid everywhere I've checked. I'll also pull most of the flashing and window/door frames this summer to get them sealed properly (and eliminate the sloppy caulk job!). Eventually I will polish and repaint.
