Hi!
My first attempt at using Flickr to add photos to get help with any info on what's registered as a 1968 Shasta with small plate stamped with "30471" on the tiny tongue, which matches a State of CA Dept. of Housing & Community Dev. which reads "S30471".
I have found 3 others like it, almost all identical except for the bottom skin line after wheel well. 2 of them say they are 1969, no info on the 3rd.
Description: 10' box like a Compact, 12' 4" overall, 6' 5.5" wide. Sitting on its 13" wheels from the ground to the highest point is 6' 7" outside, the interior max is 6' 11". There's a 5" step UP where the benches start (unlike Compacts). Also, the door is shorter than Compact and the front shape is not like a Compact (nor Lo-Liner).
12v interior only- NO sign of 110 system at all. Cabinets are "cheaply made", very thin paneling, only 1 drawer, the rest is cabinets. 2-burner Holiday stovetop. Standard Hehr windows at front, rear and for bunk-sleepers (has a double canvas bunk). Original side windows on mine have been altered by previous owner but appear to have been like the horribly designed plate glass style of late 50's/ early 60's Shastas.
Speaking to friend, she recalls hearing something about Shasta having made a "garage model", like Aristocrat did, so my guess is that's what this is! Then, I came across JDPower website that has a LITE FLYTE for 1969 ONLY, measuring in at 13', like a Compact.
Who knows anything about a potential "garage model" Shasta, possibly called Lite Flyte? ANY input or feedback is greatly appreciated.

1969, we put fellas on the moon- space race? Rockets, space design meets Shasta and this was created? Pure conjecture on my part.LOL.
