Hello VTT
I want to send a special thank you to VTT. I would also like to thank Mobile Tech Larry And also Trailer trash to treasure ( Conan) There is also another gentleman but can’t think of his name.
My wife and I are in our third year of restoration of a 1956 Terry can ham camper.
We looked at another camper and agreed to buy , but the owner sold it for under us for more money. It’s a good thing because after seeing the results of a gutted camper being towed home we now know it was a good ending that we didn’t end up with that camper.
We settled on 1956 Terry camper and knew it was going to be project but had know idea it was going to be this big of a job.
Guys if you’re thinking of taking on a project like this make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into.
Like they say these camper are built different from the inside out.
Going on our third year into this camper project many times I have just wanted to burn it down.
Trust me guys, to do it right it takes a lot of work.
Our project is a complete frame off restoration because the previous owners broke windows and the floor was rotted along with walls and several other issues.
Mobile tech and Conan have several great videos and I recommend you look at them before you think about restoration.
Also take a lot of pictures and measurements and save everything
Sadly I didn’t save them and now regret throwing them away for patterns.
We are slowly approaching the finish line but have made several mistakes along the way and this is why I want to thank everyone for helping us through this process.
Thank Jim

Hi Jim, So glad we are appreciated. It's good to hear. I wish we heard it more. Thanks also for the advice to newbies. It's valuable. Kudos to you for sticking it out for 3 years as you approach the finish line. Lots of sacrifice, frustration, and accomplishment. I am sure you're looking forward to that moment when you can finally hit the road! Thank you for contributions over the period of your restoration. We look forward to reaching the finish line with you! Cheers, Rod
