What to check on a trailer that hasn't been towed in years?

Hi everyone! I was active on this board several years ago as y'all walked me through fixing up my 57 Sportcraft canned ham. After towing it around for a couple of years I ended up buying a house in Texas. I parked the camper in my yard 5 years ago and haven't moved it since!

I'm thinking about getting it back on the road this summer, and thought I'd ask the experts: what are some things you would check/replace on a trailer that's been sitting in the sun and hasn't been towed in 5 years?

This is what I'm thinking so far:

• Fortunately I'm in the desert, and my roof repair worked well, so there isn't any water damage or mold.
• The heat of the desert, however, popped a lot of screws out of the paneling. I plan on tightening everything and replacing missing screws.
• I'll likely get new tires in case they have sun damage. I had a blowout on a trip once and don't want a repeat!
• I imagine it would be best to replace all the putty tape on the windows. Do y'all think that's worth the effort if there's no signs of water getting in?
• Check the gas line for leaks. (It just goes to a small stove.)
• Make sure the tow lights are all working.
