Just got on this forum. I have a restoration thread on our M Systems on the Repairing Yesterdays Trailers forum but it looks like the forum isn't up to date.
A little bit about us. My wife and I built a Midget Trailer back in 2004 from plans published in the Feb/Mar 1940 issues of Popular Mechanics magazine. Still have it! We then picked up a 1948 Airstream Liner a few years later which was in need of a full restoration. We tore it down to the frame and started rebuilding it when the economy and job issues started. Needless to say, after 4 jobs and 2 relocations, it was used as a flatbed trailer for moving. Still have it too. Picked up a 1973 Scotsman and did a full rebuild down to the frame. Used it for a while and then sold it. We then found an M Systems trailer which someone just wanted off their property. We think it is a 1949 model. It has some 1948 features but lacks some from 1950. We are working on it now. Oh.... and we built a 5x8 woody teardrop which is currently up for sale.
We do have a new trailer we use for trips and outings. Love to visit Harvest Hosts locations and we are Boondockers Welcome Hosts.
I plan to continue the breadloaf thread on this forum so stay tuned.

Welcome Bob
Good to have another guy into early vintage trailers. Bread loafs are fun. My buddy had an "M" System for a number of years and ended up selling it to Flyte Camp. Last year I helped him rebuild a 1954 Yellow Stone Breadloaf that needed to be reskinned due to it being parked next to a fire. I'm mostly into Spartan's currently.

Thanks John
We saw the trailer that went to Flyte Camp at a rally in Kernville years ago. At that time we didn’t know what we had. When we rounded the corner we were shocked to see one just like ours. Though ours is a single axle 22 footer. Our M Systems badge was missing but the rivet holes were a perfect match. Other details confirmed it.
