I've not paid much attention to this cable off the tongue but getting close to road-ready so wondering what I have here. In addition to my 7 pin connector, I have this 110V looking connector. Tongue power 1 by Tom Myers, on Flickr I also have this set of cables that look like jumper cables so assuming this connects to a 12V battery. Tongue power 1 by Tom Myers, on Flickr Guessing this is a way to add another battery to the 12V circuit, but why not just add another battery in parallel to the battery on board? Was thinking also to connect to a car battery but wouldn't black on the 7 pin handle that? I cannot find anything on our board like them so any insights appreciated. Thanks!

That’s a brain twister. I’m clueless.

This looks to me like a way to add an extra battery to the system when the house battery is low. Probably not necessary with today's portable solar batteries. Odd plug is probably to prevent some helpful (clueless) soul from connecting to 110. Interesting to say the least.
Your black tow wire charges the house battery while on the road. It is often "just" a charge wire as the length and gauge limit the power supplied.
I can't imagine needing this crude addition today. So many more modern options. Thanks for posting. I enjoy seeing the old ideas campers had.

Supplying coach power to the camper was likely uncommon back in the day. The trailer in question might have had only a 4 or 5 pin connection originally.
How long is the cord?

Definitely 7 pin, like this auxiliary cord it hangs about 2' off the tongue and runs through the frame, I will have to trace but I am guessing connects in the rear compartment where the battery is stored.
