So we are currently on the hunt for our last trailer. We've tried 2 others over the past 2 years and believe we have figured out what we are looking for in a trailer. Our first one was 10', our current Covered Wagon is 16' and now looking for a 22-25' trailer but I never thought I'd say this part...we're looking for an airstream! Yep, a mid 60's overlander or tradewind airstream. I'll admit, they aren't as cool looking as our first two have been but then we're finding that's one of the trade-offs for the comforts we're looking for. Ooooh-eeee look at all that space! That's in a '66 overlander which we fell in love with. sigh Attachments:

Nice. We bought a 62 Overlander a few years ago and restored it from the frame up. Took us 2yrs. We sold it just a few months ago. If I ever feel the need for another Airstream it will be a Bambi. Lifting the body on the Overlander to rework the frame and replace the floor was nerve wracking. Years ago and children still at home, we would have kept it but we prefer something smaller now.

Hummmmmm...was there a name change 247stream? Lol Your history sounds so familiar with someone on another board I am on. HaHa. Good luck with your hunt for an airstream. Everyone needs to find what fits them.

There are no "wrong trailer" . In my opinion the Airstreams are a lot more difficult to restore. Our`s was totally gutted but for the upper cabinets when we bought it. The hardest part was figuring and working with 2 curves while working on either end. Sides were pretty easy as you`re only working with one curve. I loved the challenge but Bo would get sooo mad and aggravated , thought we were gonna divorce a couple of times......

Is that your parents or the original owners?

There are "Bread Loaf" trailers, "Canned Ham" trailers, "Toaster" Trailers and "Tear Drop" trailers. I guess now we have "Tube" trailers...

Nice Argosy. You will love it! What are the odds of buying one from the original owners? One thing you will want to invest in quickly is a lexan rock guard for those front windows. They, like most everything exclusive to Airstreams, are expen$$$ive. (Ask me how I know this...)

Wow that's gorgeous. I dreamt of getting an Airstream when I started my search, but knew I'd never be able to afford one. I wanna see the inside!
