Hello everybody. I am reaching out to this community for a little bit of help. My wife bought a 1959 Serro Scotty trailer in 2021 (during the pandemic). It was something she planned to restore and use eventually, but it ended up sitting for 3 years, under a garage cover. We are thinking about selling it, and it is definitely a fixer upper. I must admit I don't know much about trailers, and I certainly don't know much about the market value of said trailer. I believe we paid about $4,300 or so for it. I did a little market research and can't find many units that are 1959 that have sold recently. I tried Kelly Blue Book and some other sites, but had no luck as Kelly does not include trailers/campers. I have attached a a few pictures. Are these campers scarce? I hope I am not violating the terms and conditions of the group, as I am not trying to sell to anyone here. I am hoping just for some general knowledge on where to sell it (Facebook marketplace?, Craigslist?) and to get a general idea of the value. I want to be able to get the most value of the sale, so trying to educate myself a bit beforehand. Thanks in advance. Andrew

Hello Andrew and Welcome, We would like to help you. Your pictures didn't attach. Here is the link for how to post pix on the forum. vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/7276/add-photos-hosted-flickr-tutoriaPlease include pix of the exterior and interior including the ceiling. Is it currently registered? That has value. Craigslist is still good for selling, but Facebook Marketplace gets more traffic, IMHO. If I were selling, I would post in both locations. Cheers, Rod

Selling a project is not very lucrative. If all appliances and original parts are in place, it is more value than a "gutted" trailer. Most projects sell in the range of $300 to $2000, depending on the brand. If it has a clean title, maybe a little more.
Even selling an almost complete rebuild is difficult to do.
