So I just picked up a vintage Go-Lite travel trailer. 1967 or 68, i believe. Not sure how to measure the length, If tongue is included or not. The actual camper part is about 13 feet long. It definitely going to need work. I've already read alot of forum posts and FAQ's AND I'm ordering the manual everyone has talked about that seems to be a must. I am mechanically inclined and I'm used to fixing my own vehicles and fixing plumbing and electrical issues around the house, however this is a whole new ballgame for me. I'm looking forward to restoring the camper though. I'm in Missouri, near Kansas city, so it's already been put in storage for the winter. It will be late spring before I can start in on it, so that gives me time to collect materials and supplies i might need, as well as read up on everything. Once I get a Flickr account I will download some photos for everyone's opinions and advice. I picked up this camper for $350, so I'm hoping I got a good deal. Before purchasing I did crawl under it to look at condition of the floor and I also climbed a ladder to look at thr roof. I can already tell the roof will need to be peeled back and repaired. The floor looked good. No signs of wood rot and frame isn't all rusted. Anyway, thanks for letting me join!
