Does anyone know where to find the VIN on a 1957 Franklin trailer frame?

VINs are often on the trailer tongue sides or top rail. You may have to strip paint to find it. Very rarely, the VIN will be near the A frame (tongue jack) but most of the time, if numbered, they are patent numbers.

Hi, Here is a pictorial representation that may also help. Generally, the VIN also known as the serial number in these trailers can be found either in, above, under or possibly to the left of the red rectangle. Ignore the green rectangle. That's another location found on Shasta trailers. It can be a little laborious to find the serial number. Take it slow. Cheers, Rod

Thanks. That is where I have been looking and where I have found them on my other campers. But so far nothing is turning up on this Franklin.
