I’m a new owner of a 71’ Shasta Stratoflyte. First is a 6 digit Serial Number normal? One letter followed by 5 numbers. Also, is there any way I can look up my Shasta’s current title status? (I bought her with a bill of sale only, I know I’m dumb)

Hello and Welcome,
For vintage trailers like Shastas it was common for the serial number to be as you described. That's a common pattern on Shasta's. After 1981, all vehicles had to have the standardized 17 alphanumeric string is now referred to as the VIN.
You can check the title at any AAA if you are member. Otherwise, you would have to contact your state's DMV.

Thank you Teachndad! I actually spoke with my local BMV and as long as she’s under 4,000 pounds I don’t have to Title her, just Register (I’m in Ohio) |
