Well, I figured out how to post pics guess I should tell a little about my project. A year ago I was laid off from work for 3 months and decided to start my first rebuild. I worked on this little gem for about 2 months and then went back to work, as it sits in my garage I'm getting an itch to start on it again. We live near Chicago, IL and have crummy winter weather. I tore it down to the frame and have started rebuilding the walls and interior. Almost have all of the wood work completed. My is to keep the outside all original and the inside will be a total retro, all done in oak. As I have gotten almost all of the wood from work. I was on the old forum and did not know it was closing. Glad that I found this new forum.

I was Rich on the old forum, I sold some of my interior on there. I have almost all the cabinets done working on a pull out bed next. I know its not birch but the price was right. Wanting to get back out in the garage but its way to cold. soon I hope.

So encouraged to see the work you are doing on your Shasta. And love the name, ocdcarpenter! Sounds like you have a lot in common with my husband. It's too cold here in Kansas City to work on ours, currently 12 degrees, but I think you have it much worse than we do. Anyway, I'm excited to see what you do with your pull-out bed and your layout in general. We've been looking at lots of pics of Shasta Compact interiors because they are most like ours which is a "mystery make". We will be paying close attention to your project!
