www.flickr.com/gp/197913978@N08/6W7986R6g0I have a friend who is giving me this vintage travel trailer and I'm going to restore it. Can't find any serial number or VIN numbers or any identification. Wondering if anyone on this site can help me identify manufacturer and approximate year. It really appears to be mid to late 1960's to me. thanks in advance!

Wow, I can see why NC camper chose the Tagalong. Window placement is really close. It might be. I want to check this evening and see if I can find a dometop version of Tagalong, but for now I will agree with NC.
Cheers,
Rod

Don't let anyone from the "Cutters Club" near this one! I like the extra bump on top.

Look for the serial number on the curbside of the C channel framing part of the tongue. Often times the serial number is just aft of the trailer jack position on that side. Use paint remover and scrape away paint and steel brush by hand when dry. No grinder with wire brush. You might have to work at it for a while if it's indeed there in that location. I believe upper marker lights were required in 1967 and later. I see marker light holes up high. Your model would likely be a 1967-1969. Someone can correct me if I am wrong on the year. Cheers, Rod

I think the upper marker light requirements started in '68 (my '67 don't have them), but I stand to be corrected as well. I mean no ill intensions by correcting the teach(ndad) Just my opinion from my fading memory, didn't say it was accurate... Whitney

Looks like it's called a Go-Tag-A-Long If that's what it really is. You might have one of the only models left that was a cabover or dome top design. Also, search FB to see if you can find a Go Tag A Long group. Maybe someone has a one or has seen one of these models. Don't put an adult up in the cabover section. Just use it for storage. Wood rot will have weakened the cabover section. Any idea what happened to the windows. Are they by chance inside the trailer. Open windows are not good. You also may have rodent evidence inside depending on where the trailer was stored. It's got some serious water damage in the roof. Get it under cover and remove the aluminum sides or skins by removing all those screws. Then you can see how bad the wood rot is in the walls. Before you go and begin your project, check with DMV or AAA to see if there are any outstanding registration fees on the trailer. Of course, you need the VIN first or the license plate. It does help if you have the name of the person who last owned it. Is there any registration paper work with the trailer? Some states are easy to work with and some states are more difficult with trailers with no registration. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with this trailer. Cheers, Rod

Replacement parts for the windows may be VERY VERY hard to find.

Cheers, Rod No serial numbers anywhere on the tongue!! Just the stupid Patent Number for the MARVEL hitch. Maybe i'll find something after the everything's taken off the trailer and the trailer is bead-blasted. If nothing, will have to have Pennsylvania issue a "new" vin number
