It's beautiful!
If it isn't undercover now, do it soon. The seals in these old trailers fail and dry out. If it didn't leak before, it will now. Roof coating quickly fails when in the weather, it is a patch at best. Your idea of a pavilion is a very good one.

Vikx, thanks! It has been stored inside the last 5 years (since it was painted and coated). That being said, I agree that a pavilion is the best option for a trailer in this condition/situation. We would also cover it with a trailer cover in the winter months to protect from horizontal rain/snow, since we live at the edge of a windy field in Upstate NY. Unfortunately, we don't have a garage big enough to fully store it inside.
One concern I have is the windows- I am not sure if the window seals were ever replaced, but I am guessing not. Do you think it would be a good idea to remove and re-seal/re-install all the windows?
Also- the only thing that is untested is the heater. Can those old heaters be restored and used? I was told the blower works, but the heater in general is untested. (though in good cosmetic shape).
The lack of water damage is why we love the interior- I just need to keep it that way!

Congratulations! This trailer is absolutely stunning. Does it have water and waste tanks or is it strictly a park model? Also I don't see any propane tanks. What ever it is, I'm green (and pink) with envy.

It does have propane tanks (they were just removed in the photo). It is a park model meaning no holding tanks. Is it possible to add a black water tank to something like this?

It does have propane tanks (they were just removed in the photo). It is a park model meaning no holding tanks. Is it possible to add a black water tank to something like this? It might be possible but a retrofit would be complicated. Black water tanks mount under the trailer, usually between framing members, right below the toilet. if you keep the grey water separate you could use separate smaller tanks which might help if space is limited. There are many shapes and sizes available so it is possible you could find something that would fit if there is nothing in the way. You would also need to find a suitable space inside the trailer for a fresh water tank that can be connected to your existing plumbing. For some reason I don't see your original post with the photos any more.

Original post is missing for me as well...
Heaters can be refurbished. There really is very little to go wrong with them. I say test the windows and if they don't leak, leave them be. Changing seals is a good thing but also can leak when they don't mold well to the frames.

WOW that brings back memories. When I was in 3rd grade 1958 we lived in that exact trailer, I still have a few pictures. I slept on the sofa every night, parents slept in bedroom, my sister was 1 year old. We lived in a trailer park, on Apache Blvd, Tempe AZ. across the street for ASU college. Trailer park has been gone about 35 years. Tempe AZ population was 40,000. then. Apache Blvd turned from asphalt to dirt 2 blocks east of the trailer park. Stores still had hitching posts for people to tie their horses too like old western movies. Parents bought a new house 4 years later on Roosevelt St about 3 blocks from ASU.

It makes me curious what I missed since my last visit and the other members are talking about and admiring.
