I'm probably painting my 68 Starflyte as I put the skins back on. I'm looking for groovy 60's era ways to enhance - the original paint on my trailer was nothing special. I'm half thinking of using the background from this forum for rounded rectangles around windows and other cutouts. What other ideas are out there?
Along with that, are there any recommendations on how to cleanly mask areas for painting over the ridged aluminum (Santa Fe style is it?)

The better quality masking tape and materials, the better the seal, thus no bleeding. I've had good results with frog tape. Check auto paint stores as well. They have specialized tapes for all sorts of applications.

Well, I don't know that I ended up with much of a '60s style'. I'm going with whitish for most of the trailer, a light green on the lower panels, keeping the bare textured aluminum in between. I am cleaning up the bare aluminum and spraying on a clear-coat too.
I'm posting this now because I decided to paint BEFORE putting the skins back on the trailer. This will mean fresh paint all the way into the seams and a lot less taping to keep paint off windows, chrome, bare aluminum, etc. I'll post another photo on this thread after it is back together.
We decided on Insl-X Stix primer and Clark & Kensington outdoor semi-gloss.
