I've gone through Google and YouTube, and searched here without success. Does anyone have a breakdown of the assembly steps for a Bargman L66? Ours was gunked up with silicone, putty tape, and grime so I took it apart to see if it could be cleaned. I'm getting hung up on getting the torsion spring back in place while feeding the exterior door's hinge pin through. Any suggestions? I may just end up grabbing a new torsion spring or maybe a tapered coil spring from McMaster Carr.

I’ve worked on them several times but I’ve never completely reassembled one. The main problem with these are broken key pieces or Lock cylinders. I don’t think anyone here has done a tutorial on a step-by-step reassembly.

I hoped that would be more helpful haha. What it looks like happened is the spring ears were left long during install, then someone nipped them flush and put the weather sealing plate over it.

I don't think the black ball knob is original...

I don't think the black ball knob is original... Def not. That's an alignment rod and pin pusher for rifle triggers. I was trying to use it to align the spring with the handle, with the body's pin holes and feed the original pin back through.
