just got her home and want to start the restoration. where can you find stainless nails to put skins back on ? i have been reading and am hearing stainless is the best as long as you use a barrier between the aluminum and the stainless to stop the galvanic corrosion process
any and all input is greatly appreciated !

I use staples on mine. They’re not stainless. Only stainless fastener I use is screws for the windows and brows.

Vintage trailers have been built for many years and none used stainless screws. There was very little corrosion where screws met the skin.
Stainless screws are a real pain to work with. They are softer and easy to mar. If the bit slips just a little, you've ruined the screw head. Also, it is much more difficult to seat edge trim screws (to ooze the putty) when they are stainless.
All of my staples are steel with the yellow coating. I've not had any issues.
The one trailer I had that was severely corroded at some screws was a non-grounded 1963. There was no ground wire from the breaker box to the trailer frame. Both sides had some nasty corrosion which stopped once I grounded the electrical. At least it's been 6 years with no sign of problems.

Usually, we use air driven staple guns to drive staples. I use mostly 1/4" x 3/4" 18ga. staples, available at any big box store. I think it would help you a lot to study Mobiltec's youtube videos (cannedhamtrailers.com) and do more research before worrying about how to put your trailer back together. There is an order to the dismantle and build and it takes a lot of time to reframe before re-attaching the skins. Here is my vintage trailer repair book that will help: vintagetrailerrepairmanual.weebly.com/

Another thing to consider is paint does not adhere as well to stainless steel screws. So if you plan on painting the screws it’s better not to use stainless steel
