I recently acquired an old Shasta camper. I found the tag in the frame. But I took some aircraft paint stripper and found the number on the right side of the tongue. There’s a lot going on with that number. Is there someone that can explain it all?
S-28954-PA-3677-J
The PA is questionable. The P could be an F. It’s very faint.
I really appreciate any help you can send my way. Thank you.

Hello Captain, Your VIN Does not appear to be the VIN for a pre 1970's Shasta. It's too long. Read this thread to find the sometimes overlooked small plate on the back side of the tongue. Does your trailer happen to look like this? If it does, it may or may not have the wings over the rear side window. I focused on the PA - 3677 part of the VIN. If it doesn't, can you do an internet search on "Shasta Vintage Travel trailer"? See what comes up. If you see a trailer that looks similar to yours, then post the link of that trailer image in a response and maybe we can narrow it down for you. Cheers, Rod
