So repaired 40 x40” corner on my Kenskill. New plywood and going to tile with VCT. I have seen and read about using Kilz to seal the plywood before applying the adhesive. Any experience with this? Appreciate the feedback.

I haven't done a floor with Kilz. I use it for musty smells. (inside cabinets and cupboards, etc.) I believe Kilz' main use is to suppress odors. Hopefully, others will chime in.
This is weird: I used paint on my vintage Marvel refrigerator from the 52 Hanson. It began to smell awful, very hard to describe it. I placed it in the sun for several days to no avail. It had some kind of treated cardboard encasing the fridge body. Kilz finally killed the odor, thank heavens.

I haven't primed/sealed the floor before glue. It always seemed like a barrier to keep the tile from sticking to the plywood. Plus the campers didn't have the primer when new...of course that might be why tiles curl up over time.

You want to put the ashesive directly on the plywood. The surface tension of the paint is not equal to the surface tension of the adhesive. Meaning the sealant will pull the paint off the plywood due to shifting, temperature changes and humidity.
