Apologies for my ignorance in advance. My 1964 12' TT has a Marine Battery in the cabin that powers three interior lights (two other lights and a plug are powered when hooked up to shore power). My question is the battery is only wired to the lights, but there is nothing ever charging the battery. Tonight the battery died... Can I tie this into the shore power so it charges when plugged in? Or is there a better solution I'm not thinking of? Thanks for your help! Greg

Nothing charging the battery? At all? How did it last more than one trip?
Any quality trickle charger will do if connected to shore power.

Yes, a battery maintainer. Be sure the charger is labeled, "will not overcharge" your battery.

Is the battery in the living space or under a dinette seat? If so, make sure it is an AGM deep cycle battery. They are fully sealed and don't provide a serious health risk.

The safest place for a battery is on the tongue or in a vented compartment. You can go with a lead acid series 24 or 27 deep cycle. Joe is right, don't put a lead acid inside the trailer.
