Hi all,
Looking for baby moon hubcap clips for a 55 Shasta Trailer.
Anyone know where I might be able to purchase them. Alternatively, anyone mind measuring the clips so I can fabricate them?

I have a 1956 Shasta but the baby moon hubcaps just pop in place. Do you have a photo you can share?

I always seem to have problems posting pictures, but this link should work: Hubcap
The hubcap fits perfectly in the center circle, and you can see where the missing clips go.

I’ve seen something like that another vintage campers but never on the Shasta. I might try trailertrasher1@gmail.com
i’ve gotten some great used parts from him. He has the best Selection at reasonable prices.

Hi Brandon,
You might also want to try a rat rod forum for advice on this. It's an unusual question, but a good one. The one alternative I see is to try to find a used rim with the clips already mounted. Is the other rim the same way?
Cheers,
Rod

Cheers, Rod Haha, given I was willing to fabricate, I wouldn't have posted if the clips were on the other wheel! When I bought my 55, it never had caps or clips. I bought the caps from someone who had previously bought a 55 with the intent to restore it. When it became too big of a project, she sold it, but kept the caps while they looked for another trailer. She ended up with a 57, but found the caps didn't fit, so sold them to me. They fit perfectly in that spot, so they're definitely the right caps for this wheel. I've talked to a person with a 56 and another person with 57 who measured their caps, and they are in fact different/larger and attach differently. I also spent time searching online, and when I find 55's, the caps look physically smaller than the later variants. So form what I can gather, they made the caps physically larger and with a different attachment mechanism in 56 and later. 55 and/or earlier models are different.
