So I put on a new 7 way and a new j box under the trailer. Hooked up to tow vehicle. Signals work with lights off. Marker lights work. But turn on the lights and add the right signal the left marker light blinks and both signals flash. Left signal works fine with lights on. What do you think?

Has the lights on this trailer previously worked correctly on another vehicle or is this all new set up?

Same vehicle. And the lights worked last fall. It had an exposed junction on the tongue so I made a new junction box and carefully matched all of the wires from the old 7way to the new 7 way. Perplexing

Well I figured it out. Had a loose skin to frame ground. All better now.

Are the taillights led or incandesant (regular bulbs)? If regular bulbs, you might try taking them out, clean & check the bulb base and socket. Also might try removing one bulb at a time and checking the lights again to see if one of them is causing the problem. (process of elimination,...or is that illumination? I don't know...)
Just my thought, didn't say it was a good one..... Whitney
