I have inherited a original 21' single axle Traveleze that was bought new by a family member. I presently live full time in it and I need to move it for the first time since 1977. No exterior lights work and no power to them-I checked with a DVOM. No idea how to find a wiring diagram and the trailer will not be used for traveling so I bought some magnetic led trailer lights that work very well. new tires are not a problem of course but the rims are the old split rim design and I need new rims to support the weight of this travel trailer. I have no idea how heavy it is but I figure approaching 6,000 lbs dry. Anyone knows for certain feel free to say so. I am staying away from off shore rims. I did run across US made rims from Dexstar shop.redneck-trailer.com/p-759-dexstar-15-x-6-oem-wheel-655-wh156-60e.aspx That are my size but not sure if safe at their rating. Anyone using these rims? Also, I do not have a class 3 hitch set up for load levelers-on my full size 4wd Chevy truck that is air bagged. Any opinion as to how safe or dumb it would be to tow this setup say 30 miles? I do have a after market rear bumper with a bolt on drop hitch I have used to pull a loaded 16' stock trailer with horses and it pulls fine in all respects, although it is a twin axle unlike the Traveleze which is a single axle. Any ideas or comments are welcome

For a SLOW 30 mile one time trip, I think the old split rims will work if you can find a company that works with them. If you can find used tires, they should be fine as long as they hold air and have some tread.
Honestly, I would not tow anything with a bumper hitch. You know your truck and how the bumper is attached. If it comes loose, you would be paying towing bills. As said, go SLOW and be ready to stop. Good luck.
