Help! I just bought a 1967 Serro Scotty Highlander from a lady. She said she could not give me the title because she needed it for her records but if I sent a copy of the bill of sale and told them, in the state from which she bought it they don't need registrations for campers less than 900 lbs and this old, I could register it with no problems. I had her take a picture of the title she had, front and back, and email it to me and I have the bill of sale. Am I going to have problems getting this registered in VA? Any tips on what I should do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The title always goes with the trailer. The lady does not need the title "for her records". I don't know how Virginia will react to this situation.

Tell her to keep a copy for her records and mail you the original.
