Hi folks, New to the forum and seeking knowledge. I found this for sale nearby on FB market place. It pretty well fits the project I'm looking for. Unfortunately, no title and not much info on it. The owner thinks its a 1969 Coachman Capri but wasn't certain. The serial number on the tongue is ST5815002. Hoping someone might know how to decipher it and/or recognize the make and a ballpark for the year. Much thanks!

From the numbers, it could be a 58 and 15 feet with a serial # of 002. It's hard to tell with these old trailers.
It could be early to mid 60's, no newer than 68. What is the interior like? If it's birch or "real wood" then earlier. If the walls are grooved panels or faux wood, then newer.

Welcome!
Some campers have a date stamped on the back of the mirror or on the underside of the sink. As vikx said, photos of the interior would help.

Judging by the stove and shape, I'd say it's late 50s. Too bad they painted the interior, makes it more difficult to age one.

I also vote for late 50s. The icebox is definitely old-school. I like it.

Thanks again vikx and nccamper. That would fit with the serial number interpretation of the third and fourth digits being year and the fifth and sixth being length as it measures a little over 14’ 8”. Now just to figure out what manufacture translates to ST.
I decided to pull the trigger and buy it even though the title process might be a nightmare. I also wish they’d kept the paint off. Some of those interior panels will have to be replaced and I’m very thankful for the guidance and knowledge resources on this forum.
Thanks again for your help!

For the record, turns out this is a 1958 Stanley Model 15.
