You're rich!!! Guaranteed Motherload.
The bottle may be worth more than the claim. Hold onto the bottle.
Great photos. Thanks for sharing them.

What a wonderful find! I wonder what the miners had to empty from the bottle before they put the claim in. I can only remember a few blue bottles from my childhood. Broom Seltzer, Phillips Milk of Magnesia and Vick’s Vapo rub. I think the Vick’s and Bromo Seltzer had wider tops than yours. It’s possible that it’s a bit older than the 50s. I’m assuming that’s a screw top. We love stuff like this and dreaming up far-fetched and not so far-fetched stories about them. I’ve even written several stories about Hamlet and how he came to live with us. Fun stuff!

"After a day of hunting for fossils in Utah". That sounds like heaven to me right now.

Man, Allen,
What would we do without you to take us out in the real world now and then?
Cool.
Nice find. I toyed with the idea of Googling the names on the claim for kicks, but the reality is that all of those people are probably dead like the antelope you found. I enlarged the blue bottle and Hamlet is correct, it's a Bromo Selzer bottle. You can see Bromo- Se at the bottom of the bottle.
One wonders, has the bottle been there stashed in that pile of stones circa 1954? Who would have found it without GPS coordinates?
Thanks again for sharing these places you go with us.
Cheers,
Rod
