Any photos of your trailer? Trailertrasher1@gmail.com might have some windows/parts for you.

Hello and Welcome,
I see you have the 48 Curtis Wright trailer, too. Gettin busy.
The parts source email that Vikx gave you is your best bet for sourcing old trailer parts.
I did a quick search on vintage trailer restoration in your area and found one. They work on Airstreams, but they might be able to help you restore them your windows. I don't know anything about this restoration company. There is another company near Ojai that does restorations as well. They look like a start up.
Otherwise, So Cal Vintage Trailer in San Diego is well regarded from what I heard.
I am assuming you have Hehr windows on your Love Bug. It's simple work, but tedious and time consuming to say the least. New glass can be found at the hardware store and additional materials through Vintage Trailer Gaskets in So Cal.

Putty tape is used to seal windows. The old Hehrs are a little different because there is a rubber seal around the bottom frame. I use 1/2 x 1/16 butyl tape under the rubber. Not necessary but makes me feel better.

Hi, Look up the video series by mobiltec on youtube on Windows. I think it's about 5 to 6 chapters as he rolls through how he cleans and rescreens the Hehr push out windows. He works on a Hehr window that is larger and newer than the one on your 52 Love Bug, but he does show you in one of the later vids how to use the putty tape to seal up the window frame as it gets reinstalled in the raw opening of the trailer wall. Caulking is not thought of very well on this forum because it dries out way to fast. Now, since Vikx pointed out something I didn't know that the early windows had a bottom seal. I found an image of a 52 Love Bug - this for anyone reading this and scratching their head. The window is open and you can see the black seal like a door seal on a car. That black material is the seal Vikx is referring to, I believe. Robert is the guy to contact at Vintage Trailer Gaskets in the web about the black seal as well as the putty tape if you want one stop shopping. He will be able to tell you if he sells that seal that Vikx mentioned and probably even how to install it. Super helpful guy. I have always had 5 star service from him. He is in So Cal, so for you shipping is reasonable since you are in the SB area. Small operator, but has a zillion gaskets and seals for vintage trailers. Hope that helps. Rod

Old windows either do or don't have rubber around the bottom frame. You have to copy what's there.I'm not sure the windows on my Hanson are Hehr, either. The eyebrows are shaped differently as well...
