Hi all! Have a Skyline Golden Falcon model 2321. I’m trying to locate the VIN as it was received with no title. I’m guessing the most logical place for the VIN is on the tongue and I haven’t scoured over it much yet. Does anyone know where on the tongue it might be? I’m not sure if the year, but I’m guessing it’s mid to late 1970s judging by the tail light assemblies. It may be even later than that, possibly early 1980s.

I can't speak for a 70s+ trailer but "most" VINs on our trailers are on the top of the doorside tongue. Try stripping the paint and you might find it. There also may be a plate on the door jam, riveted on.

I have read that on these old trailers (prior to 1981) A lot of times the VIN is the serial number on the camper. I have found a label inside an overhead cabinet with numbers that correspond to a plate riveted to the side of the camper right beside the entry door. There are 2 numbers and I’m trying to discern which would be the VIN. First set is 7179-0295-J Second is G50040.

In talking to the Skyline company, the G50040 is an inspection number, so the other must be the serial number.

I wonder if that the other number is the VIN? In fact, if I had been guessing, I would have picked the G50040 number as a VIN. Maybe another Golden Falcon owner can shed more light on this...
