Rv Jalousie windows have numerous seals for sealing glass to frame. But when disassembling the frames I have here, there appears to be no sealant (or seal) between aluminum side frame to aluminium top or bottom frame, ie: the corners. Spraying washer fluid into the corners, and, well, they leak. What to do? Maybe this was normal, but, hmm. Don't they need to be sealed somehow? I do have one hehr window that seemed to have a kind of brittle black butuminous compound in the corners, but the others by a different manufacturer have nothing but metal on metal. A search of jalousie seal or sealant of course yeilds many references to gasket type seals, but difficult regarding disassembly and reassembly of the frames themselves.

Seal the back frame corners with a urethane seam sealer. Do not use a silicone caulk. Urethane is paintable if necessary.
My "go to" sealer is TremPro 635. It comes in white, but I like the grey color. It's cheap (under $8/tube), a little goes a long way, but you need to keep the tube out of the sun. I store mine in the shop refrigerator.
VTS, sometimes has it "in stock".

OSI gutter seal is cheap and works very well. Available at Lowes for 5 bucks per 5 oz. tube. You can also buy Geocel Instant gutter seal in aluminum-matches perfectly. (OSI makes white and aluminum but it's hard to find) The permanent sealer (clear) has a skinny nose for tight areas.
