I recently rescued a 1967 Shasta Compact. The back window is missing and I desperately need to find a replacement. The window is a Hehr Hall-Mark Standard Fixed and fits an opening of 36 1/4 X 15". If you have one without the glass that would work for me as long as the retainers are still with it. Send me a P/M

No luck in finding a window so far. The trailer will require a complete restoration from the frame up and I am considering letting it go to someone who wants a project. I am located in Tucson, Arizona.

No luck yet in searching for a rear window frame to fit my 1968 Shasta Compact. The outside dimension of the mounting flange is 38 1/4 X 16 1/4 and it fits an opening of 36 1/4 X 15. With or without the Glass. It is just a standard fixed (non-opening) window and could have been used on several different trailers

Have you tried trailertrasher? I don’t have his email and I’m 9000 miles from my files but maybe vikx will chime in.

Hi Rod, Thanks, I tried about a year ago, but It's worth another attempt. I haven't been active on the site since about last November. I had a brief 4 day bout with covid which left me with no energy for about six weeks. My wife however didn't fare as well. She was in the hospital for a week and then a rehab facility for another two weeks and then home health care for another two weeks. She has still not recovered completely. It affected her ability to walk and lots of medical appointments. As a result of her weakness, she fell and broke her wrist April 8. More medical appointments, and as her primary care giver more time away from vintage trailers. In addition, my computer was hacked and had to be worked on. I was without it from November until last week. was able to salvage almost everything and installed more security.

Hi Gary,
I am so sorry to hear about all this. This is big stuff. I wish your wife a steady recovery. She is fortunate to have you.
I will look up some other possible parts sources for the Compact and be in touch.

Maybe I missed it, but do you have any of the old frame left? Missing pieces? I, also have a '67 Compact (Goshen built). Not offering it up, but trying to help.
Are you doing a minor restore? Piece meal? Major? Frame off? Rebuild? Could another window that's close possibly be used?
Just trying to make an effort to help... Whitney

Hi Whitney, it has been a while since we last communicated. If you remember, I was interested in taking a road trip to look at the vintage Comet you discovered on your vacation last year. My Shasta Compact was built in Northridge and was abandoned up in the Flagstaff area. The property changed ownership and the new owner wanted it off his property. He advertised it on Craigslist and I rescued it. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but I knew I could flip it or part it out for a tidy profit. After researching the Compact, I was hooked. It is definitely a rebuild project, possibly frame off. there are a few parts missing including the back window. I have an abundance of Shasta parts as I have two 1959 Airflytes, a 1961 Airflyte and a 1957 Kenskill. I have parted out a couple of Shastas and bought and sold or traded parts. I'm a purist at heart , but have considered installing a Jalousie or a push out if I am unable to find the correct rear window. I really appreciate your thinking of me and your suggestions. I was communicating with a person last November before all of our health issues popped up. He was parting out a Compact and had everything I was searching for. I have been attempting to reach him and hope he hasn't sold everything. Thanks again, Gary
