Hi! Excited to have found you all. I've just brought home a '62 Aristocrat Land Commander and I'm so thrilled. First time trailer owner so I have a lot to learn. She's in pretty good shape, but needs work as all trailers do. Looking forward to learning from you all and making her my own.

Welcome an de congrats on your new trailer. I believe I speak for most of us here... PICTURES, PLEASE! You have come to the right place, but be ready for some information you may not be ready to hear. Mostly, any trailer that is nearly 60 years old and has been living outside in the PNW likely has issues that you can’t see. The most Important thing NOT to do is to jump into anything. Get viks’ book, watch mobiltec’s videos and just sit in your trailer for hours to get to know it. That’s part should be pretty easy, seeing as going outside to do anything active isn’t advisable with the wildfire smoke.
Anyway, if you’ve been lurking here for a while, you already know some of the basics. Most important is that any repairs to the frame need to be done from the OUTSIDE of the trailer and you will need to lift the skins to do this. Once you know how the trailer was put together originally, you’ll have a better understanding of how to make repairs. We restored our trailer 11 years ago, and took lots of pictures of our work. Those pics have been valuable as we go back in to do repairs and maintenance in preparation for another decade of camping.
So, again, welcome. With the orange skies, it might be a good old day by to binge watch mobiltec”s videos!

Welcome from a fellow PNW'er!
These things can be a little addictive so be careful :-)
