Hi there, everyone!
Looking for an ice box door for our "Mobile Metal Products" ice box that came with our 1966 Shasta Compact. The ice box looks to be in perfect condition and we want to keep it, but we need your advice on the following possible solutions:
a) Do you know where we can find a mid-1960s Shasta Compact ice box door?
b) Do you know where we can find a mid-1960s Shasta Compact ice box with the door intact? There is a 1950s one up on eBay that is $150, which seems steep.
c) Does anyone have experience they can share on rebuilding the door in a way that the ice box still functions as well (or better) than it does with the original door? For reference, here's the ice box (and yes, we got a free screwdriver with the Compact, ha):
Thanks for your help!

Is the inside of the icebox enameled metal or plastic?

The interior is all plastic.
Great eye- it is indeed a Craftsman screwdriver. Gotta get those wins when they come rollin' in, right?!
E-mailed Trailertrasher and he has something that will most likely work, so we're working out the details! I'm thinking we need to rip off the external insulation and put some new insulation around the icebox. Anyone have tips on what kind of insulation is best?

Thanks, aslmx! The listing looks legit! We are all the way over in CA though so no dice on that one The one that Trailertrasher has probably will work. Now just gotta figure out the painting situation for the door itself. Scouring the forum for tips on that

Sand, bondo if necessary, prime and paint... Vikx is right again. I sanded the heck out of ours, sprayed the paint on and it turned out quite nice. Good luck!
