Howdy folks, I'm a newbie to both the forum and to owning a vintage trailer. Over the summer I purchased a 19' 1966 Kenskill trailer and LOVE it. The trailer is camp-ready and has been used once and about to be used again in January. I've never been a member of a forum so hopefully I'm doing this correctly. If not please let me know.
Question - anyone aware of any camping rallies on the East coast?
Thx, agd

Welcome to the forum agd, I'm new to this place too. I'm sure everyone is like me and would love to see some photos of your Kenskill. I'm sure folks will chime in regarding rallies on the East Coast.

Keep your eyes open, there should be something rally-wise in your general area, if not, others out your way would be thrilled if YOU would get one going, I'm sure. And, one thing you need to know right off the bat is that we are all certifiable voyeurs here and LOVE looking at pictures of other people's trailers. BTW, it's always fun to see different trailers. Oh, and just to let you know, everyone here really enjoys seeing pictures of what others have done with their trailers. Do I make myself clear? Welcome to the insanity! There is no cure. The treatment is to spend time with your trailer, fixing and camping, and enjoying the stories of all the folks who will stop and tell you stories about the trailer their parents/grandparents/aunts and uncles/best friends' families had.

Hi um... dude... I can't even pronounce that name. LOL. Maybe you could shorten it to Al or something...
Anyhow I am a Kenskill owner myself. Mine is a 59 self contained. 18 feet. I would love to see photos of yours if you wouldn't mind posting them.
Welcome to the board and hope you don't mind if I just call you dude. LOL...

LOL - thanks for the responses. I can assure you that in the near future I will be posting tons of questions and request for suggestions, assuming I cant find what I'm looking for in the wealth of information contained in these "pages". I have attached the link to the pics of the "beast" from the weekend I brought her home. The ragged cloth and cushions have since been removed and she has been wiped/washed down on the inside and out. I have repacked the bearings and put new tires on her as well as replaced the foam on the dinette seats and goucho sofa. (It's amazing what you can do with foam rubber slabs, turquoise sheets from Walmart and a hand full of safety pins). I will surely need to have them actually upholstered in the near future but for now they work. Much, much more to come...I am only getting started. s1231.photobucket.com/user/atlgaddue/media/100_0582.jpg.html?sort=2&o=0Happy New Year!! AtlGaDude (aka Atlanta Georgia Dude or dude or agd...it's all good!)

Thanks for the pics. First, the turquoise/aqua appliances are way up there in coolness. Second, we love the little privacy curtain by the upper bunk. Third, it's amazing that there are so many trailers today with the same basic layout, but without the wood, they have no coolness factor at all. Kenskill kept the real wood veneer for several years after Shasta went to the pressed board paneling. Beautiful!

Hello and welcome to the forum.. Rally?... We have one coming up the 1st of May... It will the first one that my wife and I have attended and we are so looking forward to it. Check the "rally" section here, It's in GA., probably closer for you than it will be for us. We are driving down from Greensboro, NC. I need to visit the post and do a party check, I think that we have about 10 or 12 campers attending. It will be here quicker than you think so get on the list. Again.. welcome to the site.
