Thank vikx! I'm not sure where the oven pilot is but is it possible that this could be the reason for the propane smell? We dealt with something like that with Hamlet’s oven. We had a faint odor when the gas was on but the lamp and the stove were off. It isn’t the original stove (that had been removed when we bought him), and we have always turned off the gas when we are done, which stopped the smell. We do use the oven, but have always lit the pilot light only for baking. A few weeks ago we decided to leave the pilot lit even when we weren’t using the stove or lamp. Presto! No more smell. Of course we won’t leave it lit while towing or being away from the trailer for extended periods, but for when we’re using it, it’s working well.

Thank vikx! I'm not sure where the oven pilot is but is it possible that this could be the reason for the propane smell? Yes, oven pilots are really smelly if not lit. The oven pilot is under the burner, with a cluster of other items. Use a BBQ lighter and put a flame in this area.
