I've got my Princess stove all apart and cleaned and ready for new insulation. Has anyone who's done this have a recollection of how thick they purchased for new insulation? I have a couple of sources, one recommended by azshastanut and they TOAC recommended 2". But that seems pretty thick to me. It's hard to tell how thick it was that I took out because it had been matted and destroyed by mice. For as expensive as that stuff is, I don't want to spend to money only to find out I bought the wrong thing. Thanks in advance for anyone's input!

Be sure to buy the right insulation. Contact a stove/fireplace company; they supply special stove insulation. I believe mine was 3/4" and about 24" wide.

Yes, this is definitely stove insulation, 24" wide, sold by the foot.. but it comes in 3/4", 1" and 2". I just wanted to be sure I bought the right thickness. Thanks for the input!
