This came from the wall above the kitchen counter in the Holiday House. The area under the slotted aluminum dome has what looks like the receptacle for a small lamp at the bottom. Not a bayonet style or type of design that I have seen. it says it's rated for 75 watts @ 125V ... The switch shows 5A @ 250V and 10A @ 125V and appears to have gone to the electric water heater. So the little lamp would illuminate when the water heater was on to remind you that you had it turned on? Anyone else seen one of these? I'm hoping to reuse it as part of the 12V system as the switch for the water pump. Anyone know if they even make this style lamp base any more? Kind of looks like an old flashlight base but it's for 125V. If I can find a bulb base that fits I could maybe solder a 12V friendly bulb or LED into it to make it live again. Thanks

Take the switch to your local auto parts store like AutoZone and compare it to what's hanging in the bulb section (usually a 4' x 8' section). If not, go to your local hometown hardware like Ace or True Value and they should be able to find something to work. Look for an automotive bulb number 68 or 89. They're a small base / small glass bulb the has two pins. Hard to tell on yours but it might be a screw in. In that case, hardware store for sure. Try Westinghouse #3797 Just a thought, didn't say it was a good one...

I'd go with a small LED socket and bulb. They still make this type of combo switch with pilot light today, but they're not as cool as yours!

Thanks for the hot tip :-)
Upon further review I think it's an e10 screw base so I've ordered up a blue LED version so we can have a cool space age glow for the indicator light.

If you have a batteries and bulbs store locally, you can take the bulb in and match the base with something that's 12v. I've also seen adapters to go from a screw base to bayonet. It doesn't look like it, but that is a screw base. I can't remember the number if it, but E10 may be right. I have a few of these in my electrical stash. One is older and has a jewel eye instead of the metal cover.

Quick update - I ordered a blue LED in a #10 base but it turned out that the funky screw base in this fixture was larger than a number 10. So then I ordered a #12 to #10 base adapter and ... cool blue light is now shooting out of this bad boy and we'll have a quick indicator of when our water pump is powered on!
