Looks like we were able to squeeze in to the Pismo Rally this year. <yippee>
We're REALLY looking forward to it.
We were fortunate enough to stay @ PCV during our honeymoon in Nov and thought it was a beautiful facility. It will be even better with "The Bucket Brigade"LOL on the scene.
Obviously, we canceled our reservations @ Morro State Beach for the same weekend. If someone would like to grab the spot (last I looked, it was filling up pretty quick) as an alternate destination or a backup plan, check out ReserveAmerica.
See ya there!!

So.......this past weekend was the 7th annual Pismo Beach rally, and I don't hear any reports.
We attended again this year. It started out with unseasonably warm and dry weather, but turned out very nice for the weekend. They had a good turnout again. The large number of people that show up on Saturday for the "open house" is crazy. I saw lots of new vintage trailers this year. Many made the long tow from out of state. I was very impressed with the quality level of the new builds.
My two favorites were a three window trolley top that was still under construction, and listed for sale at $50K (when completed). And a Palace Royale that made the tow from Prescott, AZ. It had been cut down from a two door model into a one door model. The outside was nicely done, and was a still "work in progress" inside. The owner is also doing a 1952 Suburban to match the trailer. Both trailers had a very high quality level. And the restored GM Futureliner showed up again. It's waaaay coooool!
