Just picked up a Boles Aero Zenith and the cook top and oven are Brown (Princess) and the Better Half wants it Turquoise, what paint do you folks recommend and are there any good tutorials available?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Just from seeing others attempt this on facebook, I'd say that painting is not likely to be successful. You'd probably spend the same amount of money just buying a turquoise stove from someone parting out an old trailer and you'll end up with much less frustration. I don't know if there is a high temp paint that will properly adhere to old porcelain.

Watched the flyte camp folks on tv this past weekend where they powder coated door and top. Even the gas manifold though obviously it was a different color/grey. Thought they would have gone porcelain but guess they know what works on high end resto

I believe someone mentioned good results on a facebook post I came across about a week or so ago, regarding Independence porcelain enamel. I came across custom ceramics in another blog, too. You may try to do a google search for porcelain enameling near me and see if you get any results. www.ipe-porcelain.com/www.customceramic.com/index.htm

I will give ipe a try. Thanks! John

There's an aqua stove and sink combo on facebook right now for $200. You'll be in for more than that trying to re-porcelain your existing one. Hello, everyone, I am Carlos Fanning and new over here. Just lurking around and got this to open with you all. This is amazing deals. I like the aqua color.

My local stove repair man suggested Stove Bright . It comes in a can for high temp. Colors too. Stove Brite specifically states it is not compatible with the grease and oil from food, application recommended is for the exterior of out door fire pits. Please read the specs before you use.

I just had 2 stove panels and my sink re-porcelain/enameled at Gigi Hollydale’s Appliances in South Gate Ca. Each piece was $65. I dropped off and picked up but they do shipping. I forgot my grates initially and brought them back last week. I had the best conversation with Claude and Alex and they walked me through the whole process. 1. They put the pieces in the furnace at 500 to bake off all the oil and debris. 2. Then the pieces get sandblasted to bare metal. 3. The pieces are the sprayed with liquid paint and back to the furnace to remove the moisture. That process leaves just paint dust. 4. The last process is back to the furnace at 1500 to bake and the result in enamel/porcelain finish. flic.kr/s/aHsmV8Mzzi

Hi Friends,
That's a lot of work for just $65 a piece. Actually sounds like a good deal for what you get. Interesting to learn the process.
I have added Gigi's as a resource. Thanks, I am in So Cal, too.
Thanks.
Rod
