OK.... I'm pretty good at mechanical stuff but really REALLY bad at electrical. I have a 1966 forster 16 foot. I can see that somebody has messed around with the house wiring....so I need a very explicit plain instruction on how to rewire it..... I'm not gonna take the skin off just wire it and cover with conduit.bIneed to knowif the house battery wires run from it to the trailer hitch receiver. I cannot find ANY wires that go from the battery to the actual house. whoever messed with before confused the helll outta me !! They had cut the trailer wires off and there are only four wires to run the brakelights and whatnot. But there are two wiress that go from the truck connection to nothing....just lose. This why I think I'd be better off just running my own wiring for the house....PLEASE HELP ME !!!

Well, it sounds like someone wired it with a 4 way flat or were getting ready to. The two loose wires could be brake wires. Check under the trailer to see where they go. That is your tow wiring. It should be converted to a 7 way system so that everything will work. Add J box under the trailer to facilitate connections.
The trailer 12 volt system (if it exists) consists of the battery, a fuse block and circuits to 12 volt items inside. (possible pump, lighting, cigar plug, etc.) The battery hot goes into the J block and connects to the black hot from the 7 way. (provides charging when on the road) I use a self resetting circuit breaker for the hots in the J box. The trailer main hot goes from the Aux c. breaker stud into the trailer and to the fuse block.
The 3rd system is 110 electrical and is not normally connected to the 12 volt systems. In most older trailers, 110 is a separate one. If you are really 'bad' at electrical I suggest you get qualified help rather than try it on your own. Nothing to mess around with.
Start by getting the 12 volt system and tow wiring done; one thing at a time.

Here is my Electrical Series... It took years before I finally decided to do this.... And in some ways I'm sorry I did but most people get it after watching these videos. Out of 200 people I tested it on first before it went public, only 4 people still didn't get it. So it must work pretty well... NOTE. This is a BASIC system type tutorial. If you want to add solar, or have two ac units or some other weird thing you're on your own. CLICKY for the series: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOTcQcNU-b0_Sd2vB1rGQao5rS_8Wfj0E
