I am getting ready to paint. Mostly white with the typical stripe. I used rusto gloss white on wrap so far and love it. For the stripe on door side would it look weird to use a matte or satin finish where the rest is gloss? Looking closely at current paint job the stripe is definitely a dull finish along with orange peel texture. Whereas the rest is typical Mesa pattern. 2DE13862-4A11-4989-9809-5515764DE2D3 by

I think that's your preference. I like shiny but others may like a satin. Hopefully they will chime in.

I agree with Vikx, to each there own... However, I think going with a lower sheen on the strip may make it stand out better or "pop", if that's what you're going for. Don't know if I would go all the way to flat because it "marks up" easy if anything brushes up against it. Just a thought, didn't say it was a good one....

Flat paint does mark more than daily than gloss (those bugs just slide right off), but I agree with Whitney, a lower gloss will pop out more, especially in the sun (not as reflective) and would be easier to keep nice. Another thing to think about is that because it won’t reflect as much light, the color may appear a shade darker.
And to join in the gang... it’s your trailer, you get to do it however you want!
