Ok, I gotta get started on my propane system. Can someone show me how it connects at the tongue? I know you have a tank and a regulator hose coming off it- but what does it look like right after that? Haven't seen a clear photo and just wondering what the hook up to the pipe looks like.
Thanks
Kaathy

Someone will have a picture, but you’ll have a fitting that adapts from your black iron pipe main line to flared fitting at flexible tube toregulator. Regulator attaches to rod that holds tank (s) in. If you are getting new and have two tanks, the regulators that automatically switch over from empty tank to full tank are really nice.

The fitting at the trailer is usually a brass male 3/8 flare. The hose from the regulator attaches to it.

Some regulators attach directly to the tank with a POL or ACME fitting rather than use a bracket.

What do you have under the trailer? The Super Shasta had black iron pipe. Do you have that or copper?

Depends on the year; I'm guessing she has/had copper? I try to use the old copper tubing if it's in good shape. That old stuff is tough. There was a trend to use black iron on longer trailers in the 60s. I believe that became code under the trailer later, not sure of the year.
