So we went out driving in the country to 'camper hunt'. We struck gold right off the bat but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much as we are still trying to make contact with the owner. It is hard for me to believe that someone would not be interested in selling this camper as they have obviously let it go. It is an exact match to my Miss Daisy that we just took down to the frame to restore. This one we found today has so many original parts that we can use including WINGS!

OOOoooorrrrr, you can restore this one TOO, and have TWINS! You sure will have a very good idea how to do it with all the work you are doing now.
Good luck on the acquisition. (How coool would this story get??!!)

That's exactly what we were thinking! We went inside and it did not appear to have any leaks (well, visible, I should say). However, it does look like its home to several mice! Beside it being junked up on the inside, things looked good. Cabinets looked good, original stove and gas lights, windows were good and the outside skin was in surprisingly great shape! Hopefull!

Good find Hope you can get it cheap. Did you ever wonder why they put that ugly plain door on a 1500? My wife wants to put a window in ours to make it look better.

Where in world did you sniff this one out? It's hard to find one during deer season here in the Carolina.. We went down to Newbern for a long weekend Friday, Anniversary gig and found what looked like a Frolic on US70 on the drive back.. it was covered in Kudzu..It was raining and 35 degrees.. We'll see if it's still there in the spring..

If you get to buy it I think I would brace that A/C unit up or remove it before towing it home. It looks like the front bottom of the alum is loose so that area may be weak anyway. Just my thoughts.

"I abhor, hate, and despise mice!!! (Not necessarily in that order...)" Gee Number Ten I can't believe you don't like mice, just because the stink, carry disease, chew things up, and make messes. I bet you liked Mickey and Minnie when you was a kid.
