I saw a few at Lowes Lumber the other day. Size was limited, but when walked by them I was wondering were other pepole get their backsplashes as well. Only one was Aluminum, the others were plastic.

Get on line and look up METAL, SHEET METAL, and METAL PRODUCTS.... I get mine from a place near here called Industrial Metals in Riverside, California. It's stainless steel not aluminum and it is quilted. Make sure you have the means to cut it though. You may have to find a shop to cut it for you. Like a plumbing and ducting shop. Or any sheet metal fabricator. One sheet is 4ftx4ft and costs about $100 depending on the economy and metal prices at the time.

The phenomenal guy I'm working with on Dottie made the backsplash He designed his own press to fold the metal and voila. So if you can't find what you want and you're handy that's always an option. Here's a link to my blog with visual aids. swirlygirls.livejournal.com/9029.htmlGood luck and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Would stone tiles be a good choice give that these trailers bounce, bend and flex during travel?

It WAS spam, and Susie caught it. Thank you!
Stone tiles don't belong in a vintage trailer. They just take away from the vintage charm to me... They would probably pop off as well. I've seen some really cool metal ones, and I have some green plastic tile I may use one day.

Swirly it's coming along nicely. Great work! Love the new door and the back splash. I'm taking it that the splash was made out of aluminum. Do you know what thickness it is?

How about something like this: I am thinking about incorporating some copper to my interior plan.
