I just got my newly fabricated wheel wells back. Can someone tell me how to best attach them? Putty tape under the flange and then nail to subfloor? Or does the flange go under the subfloor- right against the frame? And then nail UP into the subfloor. Thanks for any help you can give. Kathy

It goes under the sub floor nailed from underneath. We also put caulk on the lip, I dont know that most people do the caulk though. maybe others will chime in

I put them on top of the subfloor, underlayment over the flange. Putty works better than caulk for me.

My campers are attached from the bottom but I think using screws from the top may make more sense.
With that said, my Forester has one cabinet sitting close to the wheel well lip so they may not have had a choice on that camper.

So it really depends on how the camper was manufactured which is why we take notes and photographs as we disassemble the trailer. I would try to put it on top as Vikx said and then underlayment over the flange if that's all possible. My Jewel looks like it is underneath the plywood floor.
